Getting There From Lombok
You can reach the Gili Islands by boat from the port of Bangsal, 1km from the village of Pemenang. public boat service runs twice daily, at 10.00 am and 2.00 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the Harbour Office. Make sure you allow plenty of time prior to departure if you decide to use this service. Alternately, you can charter a boat, for a modest rate, at your convenience.
Occasionally the port of Bangsal can attract hawkers who will approach the tourist and try to convince him/her into buying expensive return boat tickets. While always being harmless, please be aware that all return tickets for either the public boat or a charter boat can be purchased on the island at your convenience.
To save any problems of this nature, WISATA GILI PERMAI offers a pick-up service from Bangsal, using either the public boat service or charter boats, depending on your time of arrival. If you’re travelling from Senggigi, Perama boat service also offers passage to the Gili Islands.
